Stickman Parkour Controls Guide: Every Move and Gesture Explained
Overview
Stickman Parkour has a small control set, but mastering the timing of each gesture is everything. This guide lists every move, explains what it does, and shows how to combine them.
This is an independent fan guide for educational purposes only.
The Core Controls
- Tap: A short hop. Use for small gaps and quick adjustments.
- Hold: A charged jump. The longer you hold, the farther you go — up to a maximum.
- Swipe up (near a wall): Triggers a wall-run.
- Swipe up (mid-air): On some courses, a small double-hop or air adjust.
Tap vs Hold Distance
The biggest beginner confusion is jump distance. As a rule of thumb:
- Tap for gaps shorter than your character's height.
- Short hold for medium gaps.
- Full hold for the widest gaps — but beware overshooting.
Combining Gestures
Smooth runs come from flowing one gesture into the next:
- Hold-jump into a wall, then swipe up to wall-run.
- Wall-run release into an immediate tap for a short follow-up platform.
- Chain taps rhythmically across a series of small platforms.
Sensitivity and Feel
Every course rewards a slightly different rhythm. Spend the first attempt learning the feel rather than trying to win. Once the timing clicks, the controls feel effortless.
Practice Drill
Pick one early course and clear it using only clean taps and holds — no wall-runs. This builds precise distance control that carries into every harder stage.
Quick Tips Recap
- Tap for small gaps, hold for wide ones.
- Charge holds carefully to avoid overshooting.
- Swipe up late for wall-runs.
- Flow gestures together for momentum.
