Candy Blast Saga Booster Guide: When to Use Every Booster

By GameGuidePro Team · Published · 1 min read

Overview

Boosters win hard levels — but only if you use them at the right moment. Most players burn boosters on levels they'd clear anyway, then run dry on the boards that actually need help. This guide breaks down every booster and the exact situations where it pays off.

Pre-Game Boosters

These are chosen before a level starts.

  • Extra Moves (+5): Save for jelly or ingredient boards you fail by a hair. Useless on levels you already clear comfortably.
  • Starting Striped Candy: Best on chocolate or blocker boards where an early line-clear sets the tempo.
  • Color Bomb Start: The strongest opener on cluttered single-color-heavy boards.

In-Game Boosters

Used mid-level when you're stuck.

  • Hammer: Removes one candy or blocker. Ideal for that last stubborn jelly tile or a blocker sealing off the board.
  • Swap: Rearranges two candies. Use it to force a Color Bomb + Striped combo you couldn't set up naturally.
  • Free Switch: Lets you move without matching. Perfect for repositioning a special candy next to a bomb.

The Golden Rules

  1. Never use a booster to win a level you'd pass anyway. Restart instead.
  2. Stack boosters on the same board — an Extra Moves + Hammer combo clears far more than either alone.
  3. Save Color Bombs for the final push, not the opening.

Booster Economy

Free boosters come from daily rewards, level-star milestones, and events. Hoard them for the notorious walls (levels around 35, 65, and 97 in most versions) rather than spending steadily.

Quick Tips Recap

  • Match the booster to the board's threat.
  • Combine boosters for multiplier effects.
  • Don't spend on easy wins — restart the level.
  • Bank rewards for known difficulty spikes.
